Close to Home Honey is a community-building project established to help connect beekeepers of all scales and walks of life with each other, and the broader community.

Honeybees provide the framework for our approach: our capacity is far greater when we pool our resources. To do that, it’s important to understand the varying needs of everyone in the hive. Close to Home’s advocacy, storytelling and community events are supported by a small-scale commercial beekeeping operation based on Jagera country in southeast Queensland.
